ARTIST STATEMENT:

My name is Zinhle Sithebe, known artistically as Zee Feels. I am a South African illustrator and designer whose work explores themes of womanhood, fashion, culture, and self-love.

My art is a celebration of identity andempowerment, reflecting the vibrant spirit of African heritage through bold shapes, striking patterns, and rich colour. As a Zulu woman, I am deeply inspired by my roots, and I strive to reimagine my African identity in a contemporary, expressive way.

Through illustration and pattern design, I create visuals that speak to visibility particularly for Black women, who are often underrepresented in visual art. I want people to feel seen, celebrated, and inspired to love whom they are through the complexities of life when they experience my work.

 My creative journey has led me to collaborate with brands, which sparked a deeper love for pattern design and opened new opportunities to share my work globally. My artistic mission is to create with intention and authenticity, always reflecting who I am and what I stand for. Each piece I produce aims to be a mirror of strength, individuality, sense of play and joy inviting others to embrace themselves fully. Art is my way of amplifying culture, confidence, and connection while still embracing my inner child.
